Overview
Klar is a mobile app concept helping newcomers navigate their first months in Berlin. It brings administrative tasks into a personalized roadmap, showing what comes first, what may block progress, and how to prepare.
The Problem
Newcomers struggled to understand which administrative steps applied to them, what came first, and which documents to prepare. Information scattered across official websites and personal advice made the process difficult to follow.

Core experience
Research highlighted uncertainty about task order and dependencies. We separated the immediate next action from the full roadmap: the dashboard highlights what needs attention now, while the roadmap shows the wider sequence.

Project Outcome
Over four weeks, we created a high-fidelity mobile prototype connecting personalized onboarding, a task roadmap, document preparation, and source-linked guidance.
The prototype demonstrates the proposed experience. Usability testing and administrative content review remain the next steps.

Reflection
The hardest part was deciding what users need now while keeping the wider process understandable. Task order also depends on individual circumstances, so the roadmap needs to distinguish required prerequisites from recommended steps.
Next, I would test whether newcomers can identify their next action, understand blockers, and find preparation requirements without assistance.
